Real Techniques Brushes-Review

Real Techniques has always had such amazing reviews and I've seen so many youtubers and bloggers using these brushes, so I really wanted to try them out. I purchased the core collection for £20.99 at Superdrug. The brushes are 100% cruelty free and are made of taklon bristles, which are ultra-plush with soft fibres and smoother than most synthetic brushes.

The brushes themselves are light, mostly due to their aluminium handles and fit in your hand well. They are all reasonably small and have flat bases.

They also come in a case, which makes them easy to travel with and transport.

Detailer Brush-This is such a small brush which I use for small blemishes and imperfections on my skin, however prefer it for eye shadows, especially the inner corners of my eyes to brighten them.

Pointed Foundation Brush- Honestly, I don't like this brush, as its way to small to apply foundation. the only thing I use it for is to blend concealer under my eyes. It is a flexible brush that could also be used to cover blemishes.

Buffing Brush-I use this brush to apply powder to my face and mineral foundation, I really like this brush to apply bronzer and blush too, however its isn't for precise contouring, more of an all over glow. It can also be used for applying foundation and I find it similar to the expert face brush also in the real techniques collection. Overall this is one of my favourites in the core collection.

Contour Brush-I love this brush for applying bronzer, as its small enough to fit in the hollows of your cheekbones making them look much more defined. It also blends the product really well into your skin, giving you a flawless looking finish.

Zoella Beauty

I've had a few of the zoella beauty products for a while now and decided to write a review of what I think of the range I purchased. I got these items from SuperDrug, some of which were presents and others I purchased myself.

By far my favourite product from the line is the perfume, Blissful Mistful, I love the scent and it is perfect for everyday use. The packerging is adorable and for me that's enough to want to buy it! I can describe is as quite feminine, floral and fresh. It is a lightweight perfume, enriched with vitimin E and fruit extracts. It was £8 for 45ml.

The next product I have is the soap opera bath soak and shower cream. I got this for £5 for 490ml. I use this in the bath along with an abundance of lush products (are we even surprised). It doesn't irritate my skin, however leaves yor bath smelling nice. The Shea butter and Aloe extracts soften and condition your skin whilst you relax. Overall I like this product, and again the packerging is so cute.

I also have the creamy madly dreamy body lotion which I tend to apply to my skin after getting out of the bath/shower. I realised that all the products in the line have a similar scent and are very girly and floral. The cream itself is quite think and moisturising, however I don't apply this cream in areas where I have sensitive skin, because it has got fragrance which can lead to irritation, however all skin types are different.

Lastly, I purchased the make up bag/pencil case in the design Just Say...YES. I mean I couldn't say no to buying it. It's perfect for keeping all you everyday makeup products handy and is a reasonable size that can fit in your bag. I love the colours (rose gold and light pink) and it is my favourite out of all the designs. I'm very happy that I waited for this design to come out because it was really worth it.

Have you tried the Zoella Beauty range yet? If not you can go purchase these products along with a few others, that weren't mentioned. I hope I can get my hands on them soon and try them out. All of these products are good value for money and can be bought at SuperDrug stores. Let me know if you try them!

LUSH

I've recently seen so many things advertising lush, or people talking about there halloween or christmas products, which have already come out, despite christmas being 2 months away (can't wait!). So I thought I would do a quick review of their store and products.
First of all, as soon as you walk through the lush doors you are met with the sweet smell of soapy delights, even though, half way through your lush shop you are struggling to breathe...I can't help but like it?
My favourite products to buy have to be the bath bombs and melts, but I also purchase the face masks quite frequently. I always buy the cupcake face mask as it smells so good and looks like chocolate, I would be lying if I said wasn't tempted to actually eat it...don't worry I haven't. Yet. I'm joking. But, in all seriousness I buy the cupcake mask, mostly because it is targeted at people with oily skin, which I am proud to be a part of...yeah about that, I hate having oily skin, can't I have 'normal skin', if that even exists.
Moving on to my favourite bath bombs, they have to be the melting snowman, luxury lush pud, holly golightly and the magic wand!
Check out lush's new collection, I can't wait to try the northern lights and the snowman kit, I mean who wouldn't wanna build a snow man?

How To Avoid Acne

Common acne ('acne vulgarisms') is a skin condition characterized by red pimples on the skin, especially on the face, due to inflamed or infected sebaceous glands and prevalent chiefly among adolescents, according to the dictionary, however the best way to describe it is: pimples or zits which appear on your face or back. It can occur  at any point in your life but is most commonly found on teenagers. I have found a few ways to prevent acne.

1) Seems obvious but you must wash your face twice a day, once at night before you go to bed and once in the morning. Remember to use warm water to open up your pores and to use a cleanser that suits your skin type. If you have oily skin you may need a stronger formula and if you have dry skin you may need a cleanser that won't strip your face of all its oils. Also wash your hands before washing your face as if you have dirty/oily hands you can spread this onto your face.

2) Moisturising is so important to insure healthy feeling and looking skin, it's essential to moisturise after washing your face as you strip your face of all the oils (which clog your pores) giving you acne, this means after washing your face you must moisturise to replenish that moisture, sounds confusing but trust me it's necessary. For different skin types there are also different moisturisers you can buy. If you have oily skin buy a gel based cream as they don't over do it and make your skin look greasy, however provide a good amount of coverage. But, if you have dry skin you should look for buying a cream based cream as its a bit longer lasting and heavier.

3) Exfoliate your skin once a week to remove dead skin cells and unclog pores which lead to acne.

4) If you wear makeup never go to bed with it still on your face as this can clog your pores producing acne, if you can't be bothered to get up and wash your face invest in some good cleansing wipes  which will remove all your makeup in seconds.

5) Avoid touching your face as this can be a breeding ground for bacteria and the less bacteria on your face the less chance of getting acne. Also avoid sharing things with somebody that has acne for example: makeup brushes and towels.

6) By drinking lots of water, having a healthy diet and doing regular exercise this will also improve your skin, as it will keep you hydrated and provide lots of vitamins for your body.

7) If you have very bad acne you can also visit your doctor and they can prescribe certain creams which can reduce acne.

How To Grow Your Hair

Follow these quick and simple steps to achieve long, healthy hair.
1) Drink at least 8 cups of water a day, as this will keep your body and hair hydrated
2) Use a good conditioner that will moisturise your hair
3) Wash your hair regularly to clean your scalp and to unblock the roots or hair follicles, but not too regularly as this can make your hair more greasy
4) Rinse your hair with cold water as this can seal the cuticle and lock in the moisture
5) Use a heat protectant spray when using heat on your hair to reduce damage
6) Eat a lot of protein to make you hair strong and healthy, you can also take daily multi-vitamins
7) Have regular trims to get rid of split ends otherwise they can become higher and higher resulting in shorter hair
8) Don't brush your hair whilst it's wet (or try to avoid it) as its weaker when it's wet and can brake easier
9) Massage your scalp to improve circulation which can increase blood flow which results in your hair growing
10) Follow these steps carefully to notice healthy, smoother, stronger looking hair

Bubo's

As some of you may or may not know I'm currently in Barcelona with my friend Ella and my family. I travel to Barcelona quite frequently and have fallen in love with...BUBO'S. Yeah I have fallen in love with a shop...
Anyways, bubo's is cake shop which specialises in making beautiful small cakes, macaroons, marshmallows, chocolates, truffles or just anything sweet and delicious. My all time favourites are the macaroons, especially the raspberry and chocolate ones, however it is on the rather pricey side, but defiantly worth it!
